No work/life balance - this has zero to do with whether you’re a hard worker or not. I have absolutely no issue with hard work; I do however have an issue with aggressive micromanagement, constant inappropriate comments throughout the workday, managers that were barely a year my senior with no managerial qualities, and unethical sales tactics. I experienced some pretty substantial success when it came to meeting quota and I was still made to feel that my work was worthless (my manager described my activity as horrendous, horrible, terrible etc if hadn’t had a great day when it came to booking appts - even though I had hit far behind quota and he/she hadn’t) because I didn’t do it exactly the meltwater way. The way we’re micromanaged is like being in middle school, but worse - at least in middle school your teacher actually had experience in that position and hadn’t graduated just one year before you did.
I could go on and on but hopefully his gets the idea across.
