Sales consultants have full ownership over their pipeline and the entire sales cycle. This means you can adapt your job for any industry that interests you.
Cons
Good sellers can rise up to management level very quickly. However, good sellers do not always make for good managers. Rather than facilitating their teams to achieve targets, the high performing sales managers tend to get frustrated that new recruits aren't automatically hitting their monthly £10k target. The focus of managers is too much on hitting targets and not enough on adding value to their customers. At times Meltwater can have an almost antagonistic attitude to the customers who pay their wages. They do not follow a long term sales approach.
