Pros

Fun culture (lots of parties, drinking. You feel like living the high-life) and always hustling culture (no closing dinner/ activities until everyone in the team hit the quota) Intensive trainings offering to fresh graduates / someone new to sales job Fast track career progression if you exceed quotas every month Acquired a lot of companies to empower the product offerings Invest significant amount of money in R & D

Cons

Poor management team - 90% of management are internal hires who started their first full time job as entry level sales and were promoted to be people manager based on their sales results but not their management skills as they should be. What this means is that they only know ONE way to do sales and manage people, you are not allowed to challenge the status quo because they are very proud of its proven selling method. They lead people in the wrong direction and micro managed at its finest. They don't know how to give you direction and inspire you to think from a bigger picture - Management team focus on your numbers but not you as a person, their communication is disingenuous Poor compensation package - long working hours (your client message you after 7pm is very normal and you are expected to reply them) and you don't receive OT pay - the insurance plan is suck, eg. outpatient cost per attendance is less than 200HKD... - everyone is entitled to have 20 days paid time off but you are not allowed to take day off in Dec and monthly closing week even you hit the personal sales target. - very commission-heavy pay structure means you would suffer financially and then mentally when you are at the ramp up period and you miss out on targets, eg. sleep issues, feelings of anxiety and fear, burnout, anger...etc. Clique & Ruthless Culture - The management team don't usually socialize outside their group, they expect you to do tons of things to prove your values and gain their trust. If your preference isn't to be part of the "club", you will be made to feel isolated/forced to fit in. - You often feel discouraged to think outside the box or suggest new ideas because the management team don't want to rock the boat or be different - Ruthless attitude to dismissal and incredibly high turnover of staff

Pros

The product is cool and if properly onboarded customers will get value from it. Coworkers are fairly social If you are new to sales would be a good place to learn the basics

Cons

Probably the cheapest company I have ever worked for. Benefits are below standard, they changed the commission plan every year I was there so that you would make less money, and you are expected to share hotel rooms when you travel. Look up Meltwater on Reddit or LinkedIn. They are known for very aggressive sales tactics which you will be forced to implement on your customers. A culture of micromanagement that comes from the top down. Virtually no avenue for promotion unless you are willing to move or get lucky and someone leaves.
