Pros
Was great working with the company in the beginning, but management and the overall experience got worse overtime. I only stayed to help manage the team.
Cons
1. Management - Did not listen to the concerns of their remote workers. They held townhalls from time to time and created anonymous feedback forms, but I don't think they really took the time to read or cared about the welfare of their employees. The recent layoffs as well have only proved that they treat people here as if they were dispensable. So much for having "Gratitude" as one of their core values. 2. No work/life balance - Employers are overworked and are mostly rushing to meet deadlines on the weekend. From the perspective of someone in the design team, management has no respect whatsoever for the design process. 3. Poor benefits & few leaves 4. Unjust Layoffs - I agree that layoffs are a part of the business and they do happen from time to time, but the way management has handled the recent layoffs were extremely demoralizing. For ex., we were told that Hubstaff productivity was not detrimental to the overall performance of an employee only to find out that it was one of the determining factors as to who management was letting go. They also laid out this rule that designers had to finish a minimum amount of tasks in order to be considered as "productive" and an "asset" to the team. What is the purpose of having "growth" as a part of the company's values when they don't even allow room for improvement. Ridiculous. 5. Delayed Salaries - Longest time I had to wait for my salary was 1 week. Did not give FULL transaprency as well from the Finance Team about the cause of delay.
