Pros
There are some really great colleagues who make working there tolerable. Per diem is available for those who travel for site visits.
Cons
CROs and sponsors permit a messy culture and have the appearance of not supporting your CRAs over site staff. It is a mixed bag on CoM and can go to favorite on the outside very quickly if you are deemed an outsider to select management. Accommodations for those with disability are not fully supported. There is no actual HR department; an employee handbook is vague and doesn't cover most employee situations. Frequent projects are assigned, but project /team leads may be ill-equipped to support CRA teams. Hotel accommodations are reimbursed, so ensure you have a sufficient credit card for travel. Onboarding during my tenure was extensive, quizzes were very taxing, and even management would not pass quizzes from training modules. So prepare for comprehensive training that may not be helpful in your day-to-day.
