Pros

-Salary is decent -Benefits is decent -Managers are usually nice

Cons

-As a programmer you will be dealing with the bureaucracy of implementing technology, you will NOT be programming -Programmers do NOT program they simply work with vendors -Technology is very outdated -The computer you will use is very outdated -Your computer is a desktop -The free lunch is free but the food is no bueno -Health insurance is not the greatest -Some weeks you will work a lot because something stops working and this happens a lot. For a lot of the systems that you will be the primary, your backup person will not be able to help you when something goes wrong because the backup will never get to work on this project. Their name will be on the project, but their hours will be on the project where they are primary -People who have worked there for a long time are rude and just overall very negative about everything -No onboarding and training -A lot of programmers there just work there because it's pretty much one of the few places to work in Lakeland, not because they love it. And that shows! -They ask you why it's so hard to hire and keep programmers, you tell them the honest truth and they don't implement any changes

Pros

Good compensation including not just standard pay, but also end of year bonus 80 hours for hourly associates, 8% of your annual earnings granted to you in free company stock thru which quarterly dividends are paid, ok 401k, and gift card and other associate coupons. Good stability and growth. Good company culture.

Cons

Can be slow and resistant to change. Uses some antiquated systems and software that should have been replaced years ago. Does some things that don't make sense. Some managers can be good, while others not very good. Although these cons may be true for a lot of companies. All roads eventually lead to Lakeland where they are headquartered. Geography can be a big one if you are not a Florida native. If you don't want to live in Florida for some legitimate reasons, there can be limited job options in other states, especially if you aren't interested in retail or warehouse jobs. Standard retail negatives about not having a lot of holidays off.
