Pros
Relatively good work/life balance. The offices/cubes people sit in are scattered, so your managers/colleagues won't notice what time you come in or leave.
Cons
Too much email communications or IMs. Since your colleagues/managers don't sit near you, they rely on emails/IMs so much and it is very inefficient. Composing a sentence and explaining things in email/IMs can take 5 times longer than normal.
