Pros

- great people - work and life balance - Lots of Volunteering opportunities and company events - easy to join sales teams even if you do not have much previous sales experience

Cons

- Lack of leadership and mentor-ship from managers/directors - Lack of opportunities for further growth and career development - Caring too much about numbers VS caring people as main asset for the company/sales team - unrealistic Quotas driving sales team to focus on transnational sales rather consultative approach - You can't expect much changes and you need to accept things as it is - Lots of Micromanagement in place - Stressful environment as a result of ongoing pressure to hit certain call volumes and achieve monthly targets

Thanks for taking time to write your review. We agree that Sage has lots of amazing colleagues and really pleased t o hear you had a great worklife balance. Yes, the Sage Foundation gives colleagues a fantastic opportunity to help local charities, so it's a win-win. Having worked here previously, you're aware we are going through organisational change. This will enable us to to be stronger, better and more customer focused than ever before and leapfrog our competition. We recognise not everyone will be happy with changes – it’s not easy. We are currently in the process of pulling together a ‘Leading at Sage’ program which will be available for all managers, it will focus on the ‘people management’ aspects to their role, it will also aim to keep them up-to-date on our latest products and technologies as it is important all Sage colleagues are 'product champions’. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
