Pros

I am only in my second month at this company and am already finding it an exceptional place to work. Although I am not office based, so I don't enjoy the benefits of the restaurants and other on site facilities unless I am in for meetings (now and then). Why is it exceptional then? Well, there's the people. The people are open and honest and helpful. I particularly liked and continue to enjoy the ambassador approach to onboarding. Great use of social media within the organisation on chatter for example where people can collaborate in groups geographically challenged. Fantastic learning opportunities with the Sage Lynda.com portal providing just in time learning opportunities. Very useful top down messaging from CEO in regular Sage TV appearances. Very good UK messaging coming down from JdR in the UK - on the ball and relevant messaging, in the right tone and timely.

Cons

Some delays in the ordering of equipment and software but nothing that couldn't be worked through with the help of colleagues. Some way to go in unifying processes and systems, single sign on, for example but there have been recent leaps and bounds in the provision of a global intranet, a people portal and so on. Often difficult to find things internally, but with the help of ambassadors and colleagues this is not insurmountable. Some difficulties continue setting up signoffs and so on where manager is in another geography. Systems not talking to each other.

Thanks for your review about Sage. The Ambassador programme for new starters can't be under-estimated can it - totally agree. They make such a difference in a company our size, so it's great to hear the Programme has been of use to you - thanks. Linda.com is a fantastic tool, so many learning and development opportunities to really help grow your career. Couldn't agree more about the new leader in the UKI - JdR is breathing some fire and passion into the belly of our people - the 'Green Army' - her weekly updates are spot on, and with Sage Live TV broadcast every two weeks, the messaging is really working. Pleased to hear you like the new 'Your Sage' global intranet too. I agree with your cons, but as you say, we are getting there and improvements are being made all the time. Loving the title of your review - keep loving #LifeatSage!

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
