Pros

Sage takes its responsibilities towards its people very seriously, the company invests a huge amount of time in developing & coaching others, investing in colleagues' personal development whilst also sponsoring company wide mentoring programmes to ensure all colleagues can develop. There is a strong 'customer' ethos across the company and colleagues are empowered to do the right thing for customers in all circumstances. I am fortunate enough to have started at Sage over 12 years ago and feel immensely proud to work for an organisation that puts customers & their people at the heart of their strategy.

Cons

The company is going through a huge transformation at the moment, my only aspiration is for this transformation to execute at a quicker pace so we can really shift the needle in all of the areas we are planning to. We are all playing our part in the transformation adding to the inclusiveness colleagues feel towards the strategy.

Thanks for your feedback. We couldn't agree with you more about the amazing opportunities Sage give its people - and at all levels. As you say, we care for our people a great deal and this is shown every day through interaction with us from our leaders, our processes and how we get things done - as well as all the amazing careers and learning & development opportunities available. As you say, we are extremely customer focused - as our CEO, Stephen Kelly, often to refers to it - "customer obsession" - this is really clear to us all. Yes, we do want the transformation to be quicker - this will make a difference to all our colleagues and customers alike...already it has made a massive positive change, so it will be exciting to see the end results when we get there. Thanks again for the feedback. Congratulations on your 12 years at Sage - long may they continue and keep loving #LifeatSage!

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
