Pros

Good benefits package Interesting work Good work life balance Very flexible

Cons

They have recently advised of "restructuring" into areas that focus on future growth. The way this has happened has been totally baffling considering how we keep hearing how well they have done. They are also potentially removing people from areas which have the same focus where they want to align which I can not understand. They claim to care about their employees yet they do this. I used to love working here but I have lost all trust and faith in any senior management now and I think that will be reflected in the next employee satisfaction survey as a lot of people are starting to feel the same now.

Thanks for your review. As you say, we have recently made some decisions about the roles and skills that Sage will need as we move forward. We are removing some positions to rebalance our investments towards our strategic priorities and simplify the business. This will require us to continue shifting our investments towards those foundational areas to Sage’s long-term success. Our strategy and plans are about investing in progress from a position of strength and getting in the best shape possible for our customers’ needs in the future. We understand how difficult this news is for our colleagues, especially those impacted, and it is not a decision that we have taken lightly. Affected colleagues will be offered outplacement support and the chance to apply for other roles within Sage. Please use available confidential listening surveys to highlight your concerns; this will better understand how we can support you and other colleagues.

Pros

Work life balance is the strongest attribute at Sage. Family matters and mental stablity is supported. Top notch benefits.

Cons

Departments with mixed roles of similar tasks, yet separate teams without collaboration.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
