Pros

5p Coffee No weekend work so work life balance is OK

Cons

The management are not technical, so cannot handle a technical complaint. Some managers have clearly been put in that place because their face fitted or they were having an affair. The software itself is misleading and stuck in an awful legacy trap meaning it cannot compete with others in the market

Thank you for your review. We ensure that we are always listening to our colleagues, and maintain an inspiring culture at Sage, one which supports our people and nurtures their talent. Furthermore, we have invested in a full and robust recruitment process for all roles and we support new managers with the training and experiences they need to be successful. As a result of how strongly we believe in supporting the region that has championed us so much, we invested in becoming a naming partner for the Newcastle Gateshead Quays conference center as this will support our local communities, and small and medium businesses and create numerous job opportunities. We wish you all the best as you move into the next the chapter of your career

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
