Pros

Sage offers a premium product for their addressable market.

Cons

Although it is the case at most companies, Sage has a real problem with nepotism. If the potential hire is qualified, it makes sense to hire a known-quantity however, several key HR leaders + people they brought in, are not only unqualified, but are completely over their head. - They pretend that their is internal mobility when it is absolutely not available for most employees - Not the benefits you would expect from a UK based company (healthcare) - Constant fear of layoffs - Massive difference in salaries dependent on where you live and who you know coming in - The "CRM" system is laughable and needs a refresh

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are disappointed to hear you did not have a positive experience working at Sage. While we encourage colleague referrals, nepotism goes against our values as an organization. We are proud of our enhancements to colleague development opportunities through the launch of our new career development platform, Talent Marketplace – and are encouraged by the colleague participation in interacting with the platform to enhance their career development because we are committed to programs and processes that will help all of our colleagues thrive. While we do have to make difficult business decisions from time to time that have impacts on colleagues, we are committed to making sure that all colleagues are treated fairly – and that all decisions are made to better deliver on commitments to customers, colleagues and communities. We wish you all the best in the next phase of your career.

Pros

Work life balance is the strongest attribute at Sage. Family matters and mental stablity is supported. Top notch benefits.

Cons

Departments with mixed roles of similar tasks, yet separate teams without collaboration.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
