Great company for sports lovers, but management changes destroyed the culture - Product Manager Sportradar Employee Review

Pros

I spent many years at Sportradar and was proud to contribute to building the engine that powered a lot of the company’s growth. It was rewarding to work in sports tech, support major federations, travel, and be part of a company that grew significantly over time. For people who genuinely love sports, there was a lot to enjoy in the work, and the compensation was average but fair for the market. What made the experience especially meaningful for me was the sense of ownership and dedication across the years. I consistently went beyond my formal role, supported teams through change, and stayed committed to delivery even under pressure and resource constraints. That is why it was disappointing to see the culture shift so strongly in the last 2–3 years.

Cons

What became most painful was being laid off after lots of years by people who had only been in the company for a short time and, in my view, had not really contributed to building the business. It was especially disappointing to see that some of the newer management seemed to add little value while still making major decisions about people’s futures. Over time, the environment became increasingly toxic, with too much blame, politics, and poor judgment instead of respect for the people who had carried the company for years.

Pros

Very flexible with scheduling. Nice bonus job that you can do after work. Not too difficult and if you’re already watching the game you might as well be getting paid for it. Supervisors and management are great and schedule very well.

Cons

Hard to get a lot of hours after the month of November. Guaranteed to work at least part of a Saturday almost every week.
