Pros

Great Discount Great Team Building Relationships with Customers Double pay on Bank Holidays

Cons

Rubbish Pay - Only pay staff minumum wage and no rises for management so we are almost at minimum wage level, practically under if you take inflation into account. Smaller store staff are paid the same as stores who take quadruple the sales if not more and have more extensive services and longer opening hours. Makes no sense doing a lot more work and having the same rate. High Expectations - Want you to do a whole sales service which is just embarrassing at times. We can get the sales the old fashioned way, we know our customer base. Hard to meet Sales Targets - based off Last year figures so we are punished for doing well last year as we are expected to do the same again despite the changing world. Stores who always take low sales are laughing because they don't have to do much work but come out with full Bonuses. Targets should be based on how much you actually need to take a profit surely!?? No Loyalty for staying with the company. I'm on the same salary that someone new starting would be on despite my many raving performance reviews. They say you can get Pay for excellent performance but i've never had anything. All staff i've spoken to would rather give up bonus and any other benefit to have an extra couple of pounds an hour, we are struggling to pay for daily things despite working for this 'luxury' company. New Visual Merchandising layouts are rubbish and confusing for customers. ASMs are relied on heavily and do a lot of the work for some SMs but are no where near the league of pay.

Pros

Strong level of autonomy as a Store Manager to drive the business, implement strategies, and influence sales performance Opportunity to develop leadership skills through team coaching, training, and performance management Emphasis on client experience and building meaningful in-store customer relationships Creative freedom to execute sales-driving initiatives and local events Hands-on ownership of business results, which can be very rewarding for self-motivated leaders

Cons

Limited support from regional and district leadership, particularly in satellite locations, which can feel isolating High turnover due to relatively low pay for Crystal Experts and Assistant Managers Budget constraints make it difficult to recruit and retain experienced, high-performing talent Teams may require significant development due to lower wage tiers, increasing workload and pressure on management Store conditions in some locations feel outdated, with limited investment in remodels or upgrades Compensation structure for hourly roles does not always align with expectations or workload
