Pros

I met some really nice people whom I went out on some great nights out. The job itself had gradually eroded my psyche to a nub.

Cons

Plenty of cons since the place is literally a 'prison' of your heart and soul. Plenty of sychophantic cliques fill the place to ensure employment longevity. I slogged myself and poured myself into the job but the awful team leader, that clearly had a problem with me, would look for something to shed me in a bad light. Even when I did get the most of something, it would be ignored. Draconian punishments - I almost lost my life after being attacked. I spent 5 days in hospital, tried to come back early to show care for my job and this awful trainer just sat there and pulled me to pieces during a call. Needless to say, I was so frazzled by this that I swore AFTER a call.. I decided that I needed more time off. I came back again and received a FINAL written warning for that swearing and for general comments written on social media about call centres in general BEFORE I worked at Teleperformance. Literally makes you feel like you're under surveillance all the time. I was hounded for weeks over the silliest of misdemeanors that I eventually literally started second guessing even my entrance into a room. Hopelessly nepotistic. You could have helped 100 customers and done an amazing job but that is NEVER appreciated. I was sacked for something tiny and the whole meeting felt like an act where nothing I said going to helped what felt like a preordained decision. There is a distinct difference between you swearing and a member of their clique swearing despite there being a no tolerance policy to swearing. The team leaders will do whatever is asked of them to perform and live and breathe the underlying meanspiritness of the rules and policies to the tee. Seriously, I cannot completely write with any tangibility because of the way I had been mistreated in the last 6 months. My advise is to NOT work here. For the sake of your mental well being, which they don't take into consideration, for the sake of having a social life, which they don't care about, DO NOT WORK AT THIS BADLY ORGANISED ESTABLISHMENT! EVENTUALLY, YOU WILL BE SACKED AND REPLACED. THIS IS TELEPERFORMANCES' MANTRA AND THE VILE COWARDS THAT WORK THERE WILL UPHOLD IT JUST TO GUARANTEE THEIR OWN EMPLOYMENT LONGEVITY..

Pros

Global company with contracts with many different high-profile companies. They definitely don't want to let go of people. Will try everything they can to try to get you on a position that will keep your pay if you switch contracts. I started working in an office and transitioned to a work from home position. They handled that transition for me very well, but I do feel lucky as many other employees had different experiences than me. Very inclusive team!

Cons

Fast pace environment that does not necessarily feel organized all the time. Even though I thrive in fast pace work, some contracts are managed better than others. Feels more like a temp agency than a proper workplace with so many contracts. If the company we are contracted with does not want our employees anymore, they can cut people at any time. This will trigger TP to transfer you to a new project/contract. Working in the office was quite the drama at the time. If you work in an office, best to focus on yourself and keep your head down to avoid drama.
