Pros
If you look hard enough you’ll find people who are good at what they do and willing to help you when you need it. Many people at UPS are loyal to the company and stick around for a very long time. They are usually a wealth of UPS information in various divisions and products.
Cons
There is a malaise about many people both in the union and in management. This may come from lack of incentive to be productive, boredom, and/or a dull work environment. If there was a general push to reward people on merit more often and seniority less often, this could be changed.
