Pros
If you are union: Pay is decent compared to other entry level jobs Benefits are amazing (takes 1 yr to earn) Hub I work at, hard work is appreciated Job security Opportunity for advancement if you are a hard worker, punctual, and don't talk back. I moved up from pkg handler to p/t sup. F/T jobs are rare but out there if you are willing to move.
Cons
Union dues (about $40 a month for package handlers) but the medical, dental, vision benefits are amazing and included for free. Non-union benefits suck compared to union but are better than nothing! Other union employees are lazy, especially tenured employees. Only big hubs have tuition reimbursement Low hours (pkg handlers work about 15-18 hrs a week)
