      Pros

      Provided you do your job and adhere to standards, you will have a very stable and safe career. Retirement pay is available after 20 years of service, free medical, great people and community support.

      Cons

      Deployments that will take you away from your family for 6 months to a year at a time. Medical care that sometimes isn't very good. Supervision can have a large impact on your future career.

      Pros

      Its a good start to wanting to learn stability and being able to be consistence at receiving a pay every two weeks.

      Cons

      Its hard to provide for a family when you don't get paid for overtime and you're basically living pay check to pay check due to bills
