      Opportunities to perform in several different career fields and many locations in the United States and around the world make working for the United States Air Force very rewarding. Retirement after 20 years of service allows for second career or time to spend as you wish.

      Cons

      Some positions require long hours and sometimes travel away from home and family, often at short notice. Duty locations are not always guaranteed.

      Pros

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Cons

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
