      Pros

      Working for the federal government provides you with stability. You do not have to worry about rather or not you will have a job tomorrow.

      Cons

      It can be very difficult in being promoted in the Air Force especially at the upper management positions (GS-13 through GS-15) because people are not retiring nowadays because of the economy

      Pros

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Cons

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
