      Pros

      Great pay, people appreciate what you do as a government employee.

      Cons

      Government is not good at spending money wisely, resulting in poor job security and a "bare-bones" staff. I came to Glassdoor to start looking for a new job because my position which was supposed to be indefinite was recently defunded.

      Pros

      Getting 2.5days of accrued leave per month is nice, which adds up over time. You can request leave whenever within your schedule and it won't be denied.

      Cons

      Not too much structure when it comes to squadron training. Depends on your squadron but leadership can really determine your experience.
