Pros

Good pay and benefits. Some of the people you work with are very knowledgeable and cooperative. In addition, some of the assignments offer an opportunity to make meaningful improvements to Mission operations and its success.

Cons

Terrible work environment. Its very difficult to get promoted or transferred to a better duty station. Although the espoused goal of OIOS Audit is to "improve the Organization's risk management, control and governance processes", in practice, staff are pushed to magnify errors and come up with as many "critical" recommendations as possible. Little is done to work with Mission management to find ways of improving operations and ensure efficient and effective mandate implementation. Many of the staff are also either incompetent or unmotivated

Pros

Great multicultural environment with people from all over the world, which creates a very enriching and inclusive atmosphere. Everyone is punctual and colleagues are very chill and easy to work with. The diversity of backgrounds makes collaboration genuinely enjoyable.

Cons

Very resistant to change and innovation. The organization tends to stick to old processes and is reluctant to adopt new technologies or modern approaches. Progress and improvements move extremely slowly, which can be frustrating for those looking to make an impact. its also unpaid which sucks
