Status of the organization has positive social connotations Some very bright people in management (but only in small numbers) Great salary and good benefits No Taxes and they have a duty free shop

Cons

Very unprofessional Human Resources - takes up to 1 year to process payments, no permanent contracts. Nepotism and Favoritism of family or clan members and friends comes before professional abilities and performance and lead to permanent contracts. Disillusioning for people who wanted to work towards strengthening Rule of Law and Human Rights Petty office politics stops creative and productive work Donor countries impede progress on projects.

Pros

It's a nice environment with friendly colleagues, good benefits and wonderful location. Work demand is not too high and you can keep family friendly hours. 6 weeks annual vacation.

Cons

Most people working there are mediocre. Promotion process is not transparent. Performance review process is weak. Political connections are more important than work performance for moving up in the organization.
