Pros
Salary and benefits are almost unbeatable. Multicultural, multilingual environment helps you advance your communication and relationship skills. Largely, I met very passionate, professional people, really committed to the work of the organization, despite all setbacks and lack of resources in some departments.
Cons
Most of the senior-level managers does not really know or care about what is going on with staff and daily work. You will always have the chance to have to work with people that are just hanging around. Slow processes and results may disappoint those used to the fast pace of the private market.
