Pros

Good work-life balance. Good employees. Stable profitable company. Short probation period (6 months). Decent bonus scheme.

Cons

Salary below market value causing resentment and constant staff turnover. Poor support functions, centralised so slow, impersonal and generally hard to get help (IT, HR etc.). Training system is awful and training courses are few and far between and hard to find out about or attend, significantly hampering personal development, service improvement as well as statutory training responsibilities. Just ordering essential equipment for work responsibilities is difficult and drawn out. Management are sometimes detached and spout company values yet don't apply them to themselves. Career development is extremely poor and unsupported, definitely not a meritocracy, a lot more workplace politics across the organisation than other companies. Widespread corruption; employees expected to put up and shut up yet don't gain anything except a risk to professional reputation.

Great schedule. Good pay. Great benefits.

In the middle of a merger. A lot of changes recently. Not necessarily bad.

Pros

Good exposure to a large, complex organization with cross-functional collaboration. Opportunities to take on responsibility and learn quickly if you are proactive. Some strong internal frameworks and experienced individuals to learn from. Visibility across different teams and business units.

Cons

Lack of standardized processes creates unnecessary inefficiencies and rework. Too much reliance on individual knowledge instead of scalable systems. Cross-team communication is often reactive rather than coordinated, which slows execution. Roles and ownership are frequently unclear, leading to misalignment and finger-pointing. Tools exist but are not fully implemented or consistently used, resulting in avoidable manual work.
