Pros
- Partnership bonus - Negotiable hours (good as a student) - Progression is there if you're willing to work for it - Sick pay - Meet lots of people both staff and customers - The good managers recognise and reward hard work - A few work parties here and there - It's a laugh, relatively laid back if you have a good team during your shift - Partner voice - it's there if you need it
Cons
- Progression is not easy, if you aren't liked or suck up then good luck - Management is quite young, could be seen as a good thing but not when they get 'personally' involved with members of staff - Managers have their favourites - Dealing with pretentious customers who think they're better than you because they shop at Waitrose - Organisation can be poor - Some members of staff get away with crazy stuff that goes unnoticed (being sick of the time is only the start of it) - It's clear that many people in higher positions have no clue what they're doing - Getting paid for overtime was always unnecessarily difficult, however, this might just be my experience
