Pros

WF's securities trading unit is a pretty relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is really nice and the floor doesn't have any of the east coast uptight attitude. You can definitely learn a lot if you take the time to pursue the information. Even though the company is pretty big, each division is very close-knit so you get to interact and communicate with a lot of people. There are a lot of volunteering opportunities as well for employees to take advantage of.

Cons

Salary at WF is a joke. If you're moving up WF internally, your salary will never be as high as the other banks. We're talking base pay of roughly 50%-75% of the other BB banks out there. Bonus payouts are also pretty much non-existent. They always have restrictions for salary increases, so the best bet is to already have a pretty high salary from another company, and then enter the WF workforce. Also, upward movement here is pretty slow too. They do a lot of sideways moving, but it's hard to move up unless you schmooze (a lot) with the right people.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
