A good company to work for if you're not in the retail side. - Lead Teller Wells Fargo Employee Review

Pros

There are a good deal of opportunities to move forward in the company, provided you're willing to be flexible. Also, the pay is competitive when compared with other banks, and opportunities for raises are available based on quarterly reviews.

Cons

At least in the retail side of the company, the pressure of getting sales is too high. Managers are responsible for their employees sales goals, and their bonuses are based on how well others do, not how well they themselves do. Provided you get enough sales, you can get away with almost anything, leading to unethical selling practices which is not corrected as it makes managment look good.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
