Pros

While I would not recommend this department to anyone who is looking for a professional, organized department with room for advancement it is a great department if you need a steady paycheck. Overtime is offered and the pay is acceptable. Some of the leaders are there to help you and want you to succeed. While there are very few of these leaders the ones that are genuine are very supportive. It is a great place to learn about banking if that is where you want to take your career. You will have a job.

Cons

The department is very unprofessional. People are not on the phones, loud, cursing, arguing and should not be there. There are only a few team leads that know the business and none of the supervisors know anything. In training you are provided wrong information that will have to be corrected from the only team lead in the department that seems to know almost everything. Most of the leaders are looking to get you fired rather than help you succeed. You don't advance by performance. All but a few leaders have no idea what they are doing. They have no problem giving wrong answers to questions. The leaders also will make promises they do not keep just to get you to perform. Advancement is very difficult because the leaders are more focused on holding you back, or getting you fired rather than helping you succeed. Now I will say there are a few leaders that will help you and provide you with good advice, but only 2 or 3 out of the 10 or more leaders in the department. It's does not seem like a team but they preach it constantly. You're on your own. Don't expect your supervisor to help you with anything. They will smile in you face and tell you everything you want to hear but none of it is true. If you think this is a great place to work I advise you it is not. Apply for a different department.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
