Pros

Wells Fargo's retail banking environment depends pretty heavily on your management, but I got lucky and most of my managers over the years were very good, although a bad manager will absolutely ruin your time there. Luckily, it's fairly easy to apply for open positions at different branches. Wells Fargo benefits were great. I loved the amount of PTO I had every year and all national holidays paid. I felt respected there and that I always had room to grow and learn.

Cons

Company is constantly changes expectations and rules in order to look ease regulatory pressure. Many of our customer interactions were fairly scripted and you are required to read a lot of things verbatim, which creates a very fake experience . Additionally, I submitted my two week notice and was terminated the same day rather than being allowed to work for two weeks. I as told I would be paid for the two weeks, but have not yet and have had to make multiple hour plus phone calls to HR to seek resolution. If you work for Wells and are leaving, then just quit same day, company wants the courtesy of a notice, but just walked me when I gave one with no pay.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
