For all the programs they offer to build your resume, train, advance... none of them are beneficial in any relative sense. It feels more like they are checking to boxes to show they are trying. Management in my department is strife with nepotism and advancement has a ceiling. Mangers are too young and inexperienced, do not have people management skills and basically look out for themselves. I believe this comes from not hiring the best person for the position. Corporate level clearly is not connected to the working level of their company. The expectations and requirements serve as punitive outcomes rather than excelling. Raises are an insult to the real cost of living; six cents at the beginning of the year. The maximum salary for this position is $45,000 - I am not even close to that.
