Pros

Amazing people doing their best with what they have on the ground.

Cons

This organization does not support women or diverse staff in any way in HQ Denver. Please do your due diligence when applying--they will tell you one thing to get you on board and completely do the opposite. They do not support women, caregivers, people of color, LGBTQ+, or any other marginalized group beyond the traditional single, cis-gender white male. They have 13 ERGS that are not connected to nor supported by CEO. The DEI efforts are box-checking at best and no real appetite for change within Executive Leadership and with ZERO budget. Beyond that, this organization is so slow it's working backwards, and having access to simple resources/tools to do your job effectively is very difficult. This organization does not do a good job of putting the right talent in the right places and most of the staff isn't being supported to do their best work. The morale is extremely low in HQ and Globally0however is seems Denver has the most work to do. You will need to advocate for yourself every step of the way.

Western Union Response

Thank you for leaving a review and recognizing the amazing people we have in our organization. It is disappointing to read about your negative experience as it does not align with our priorities as an organization. Western Union’s focus and work on DEI are taken seriously in every piece of work we do. As mentioned, we have 13 ERG groups across our organization that receive a platform and resources to connect them through our organization. Our Early Careers program across the globe is one of the ways we build on our diverse hiring efforts. The decision was to postpone only the US Summer Internship this year to get greater support and alignment from our leadership team to build a more robust program for next year’s cohort. Every decision in our organization has diversity and inclusion at the forefront. We are a global organization that is innately inclusive every day, and we continue the work to do better every day. We appreciate all the feedback you’ve shared and will be sure to share it with the right teams. Best of luck in your next career pursuit. - Shannon Armbrecht, Chief Diversity and Talent Officer
