Pros

Work life balance (true 9-5) Good vacation policy (but it’s getting reduced). Decent benefits but nothing special.

Cons

Constantly changing priorities, low tech talent, tons of rules and buearacracy, and very little actually gets done. I found it a very uninspiring place to work. They opened a new office in Miami and made everyone go there 3 days a week. It was unfinished for the entire year and felt soulless. Nothing on the walls, harsh fluorescent lighting, no plants, empty and abandoned feeling, no events or team building or community or culture. Lots of remote tech teams so collaboration is very challenging. Really bad equipment. Chairs broken, cheap monitors that you couldn’t see in the bright light. Overall this is a very budget conscious company. The tech department is a mess they are trying to improve, but it has a long long way to go.

Pros

A company with an inspiring mission that is beginning to transform, an executive team that has gotten much better with recent departures, the opportunity to make a difference every day

Cons

In Denver, there are a lot of negative employees

Pros

Western Union was a great place to grow if you are motivated. The company wants to do well and generally efforts are well focused.

Cons

Lots of turnover that hurts a company that does write it's how to do things down. Challenging market that takes market share consistently.
