Pros

Some of the best people you'll ever meet, amazing co-workers, fun events outside of work, great training program, great resume builder, awesome experience, good communication, awesome teamwork and you'll learn a ton.

Cons

Work life balance- I really wish I paid attention to this common con when I looked up reviews prior to taking the job, I rarely saw my family and rarely enjoyed days off with my significant other who works a M-F/8-5 job, I don't know how employees with kids and a family do this job and make everything work. Sales are the only thing that will get you promoted and the only thing upper management cares about, it doesn't matter how good of an employee you are or how great at customer service you are, sales is what gets you promoted bottom line. You work long hours & long days on your feet outside all day. Dealing with difficult customers is part of the everyday job, but that's customer service for you. I had some really lazy managers and I understood why they were lazy because this job exhausts you over time and beats you down. I constantly had managers complain to me about their paycheck...that's really not motivating me to want to move up with the company. Not a lot of opportunity for growth in some cities.

Pros

You will become very acclimated to working in an environment that is so high stress you can hardly see straight - I worked in an extremely affluent area and had multiple customers tell me they thought I had the hardest job of anyone they knew. Honestly this company has a lot of good training to offer. It's just too bad you aren't able to appreciate it until you have run for the hills. Other than that not much to add here.

Cons

This company quite literally preys upon its employees. It will destroy your life entirely if not careful. Upper management is downright deceitful. IMHO if you can look someone square in the face and lie between your teeth, with no problems so long as it puts a dollar in your pocket then you may have found your calling. Now all this is given you can put up with no less than 1,000,000 customers per week telling you what a low life you are for not having a 2017 3 Series BMW ready to rock-n-roll, full of gas, and with no mileage. . . . I mean after all they have a 2001 Altima in the shop. And your the Enterprise guy, you should know if anyone does that it's only right, I mean after all they were hit at break neck speeds in the strip club parking lot last night!!!!! And you my friend will get the distinguished honor of looking them dead in their pathetic opiate glazed eyes while seeming genuinely concerned for their "headache"(Pathetic excuse for a lawsuit). And just watch out if you suggest they pay the .65 cents worth of taxes on their $30 dollar a day USAA policy that they did 2 years in ROTC in college to earn. You know what just talk to their lawyer they shouldn't have to deal with this that stripper hit them. You: "Ok sir may I have that attorney's contact information?" Customer: "Yes son, its 1-800-411PAIN." Honestly, my biggest gripe is in the deception of your compensation. If you really break the math down they pay you barely more than you could make flipping burgers per hour. It's just a sad pathetic escapade. Do yourself a great favor. If your smart enough to be reading this. . . . . DONT WALK, RUN!!!!!

Pros

Benefits are great If you start out successful it's great starting out. Lots of different departments. If you are single and could care less about time off...this could be a good fit for you. Immediate vacation time

Cons

No work life balance. You work a lot of hours and are expected to never complain or have an issue with it if you want to move up. I was very successful throughout my career. In the beginning, the higher ups were great towards me...they "sold the dream"...I moved up quickly, but quickly learned that the better you were, the more you were punished. I was sent to the worst location to "fix it". Due to it being a complete mess and it obviously taking time to turn a location around, I did not make what they said I would. If someone steals a car, and all of the documents they used look legit and you take all the steps you are supposed to in order to make sure all the info provided by the renter is real, if the car is stolen and can't be found, as a manager, you still get hit with the full cost of the car, which often times mean you will basically work 50-60 hours a week for that month to make less than someone flipping burgers. It's very political, so if you aren't someone who can kiss butt, don't waste your time here. The promotions are also ALL about timing. Most of the people who succeed and move up got lucky and rode the wave of success someone else created. Back to "selling the dream", also know as "pouring the green koolaid", its all bs...the higher ups are only concerned with making themselves look good and their pockets, so they will tell you whatever it is that you want to hear. 90% of the employees below level 3 employees are miserable. They will also tell you that it is your career path and you can choose which way to go...also complete bs. If you are performing well, your level 3 managers will often do whatever they can to shut down you moving departments. Again, the entire company is all about politics, so be prepared, the rules do not apply to everyone.
