Pros

You work alongside a lot of young grads so you generally have a great team.

Cons

The company is comparable to a cult. The Enterprise Way or no way. Management have no consideration for employees working conditions. You are led to believe that by giving that little bit more of your time and effort you will be promoted or achieve more, however they then move the goal posts and you’re back to square one. A very critical company with a massive turnover of staff. They take advantage of grad’s wanting to develop themselves, suck them dry and then get the next batch in. I believed the Enterprise dream for many years however as I watched it slowly destroy my friends and colleagues and also my social life I finally left and it was the best move I have ever made.

Pros

You can expect to get job offers quickly once you decide to quit since this company is notorious for slave-driving. You’ll also make great friends because everyone bonds over how miserable they are working there. If you were a burnt out college student that barely graduated and want any chance at a “career” this is the place for you. Build your resume with this job for a year and then run and never look back. OK salary, benefits and 401(k), could always be better.

Cons

They’ll rope you in with the whole speech of endless promotions, all of the perks you’ll get (that you don’t get for years until you are an area manager), and they’ll basically promise you the world. Don’t buy any nice clothes because you’ll be expected to be in the wash bay cleaning cars for over half of the 10 hour day- yes 10. Their promise of “giving you the tools you need to grow” essentially means that you’ll learn how to detail the interior and exterior of a car whilst customers are throwing a fit that they’ve had to wait an hour for their car in the first place. Good luck trying to take time off- the “choice time” will sit there for months as you bargain with your area manager to take a few days off so that you don’t lose your sanity. Your “flex time” does not exist and don’t ever count on getting a lunch break! Make sure you bring snacks that you can eat while you drive while you- yes YOU- chauffeur customers around the capital region. To top it off, the “sales” experience you “gain” will not help you in the slightest in the real world! From someone who has left and found a career where I am treated like a person and not a robot, all I can say is RUN FAST AND DO NOT LOOK BACK.

Pros

Looks good on resume, develops management skills, co workers are decent

Cons

Long hours, low pay, expensive dress code while running around sweating. Washing cars, having a degree to get paid less than $3 more than a service agent. This sounds like such an amazing job when you are coming straight out of college. You do have benefits, but there is NO work life balance. My first 6 months I went to work, ate dinner and slept. I don't know how people with children do this. Management does not listen to employees and you are constantly selling to customers even if they really can't afford the product. High stress environment, lots of running around. Back end work hardly gets done because there are so many other tasks needing attention.
