Pros
- Most coworkers are really fun to work with. - Stable work. People will always have car accidents.
Cons
- zero work/life balance (11-12 hour work days plus weekend work) - low pay (after being a Management Trainee for 6-12 months you could work as a manager at McDonalds and receive more pay with significantly more work/life balance. We called them) - extremely rigid on policies with virtually zero room for employee suggestions or concerns (training will tell you otherwise). - Promotions based primarily on sales numbers with little to no regard to a person's actual ability to manage a team. Requirements for promotions are also extremely rigid and don't take into account that people have different strengths leading them to become good managers. - working hours only gets worse once you are promoted to Assistant Manager. Although it is a salaried position you end up being paid less than a Management Trainee due to the significant increase in extra hours outside of opening times. - Very poor benefits for full-time employees. Even the dental office I went to was shocked at how little Enterprise health benefits cover. They deal with company health benefits every day and could not believe it. - To be promoted quickly you have to be single as moving to new cities every few months is key.
