      Great place, if you can take it.

      Pros

      It's a steady job that you can come into and work right out of school. It also teaches you how to be a professional, work with customers, and eventually how to manage a business with your bottom line in mind.

      Cons

      You work way too many hours for the compensation. There were many times that you would go weeks withouth actually being able to take time for yourself for a lunch break. They would expect you to eat while working. There is a very high level of stress because most branches are severly understaffed. Most importantly, if you did not work at one of the main revenue generating branches (i.e. a branch that is just naturally busy regardless of who is managing) then you were an afterthought to the upper management.

      Pros

      Learn to work hard and become a top customer service employee. Employees in rental are very young and can provide a comfortable environment for new graduates. Opportunities after the first five years are there, but you need to prove yourself to get to that point.

      Cons

      Lack of respect is a big issue for employees who may be sensitive to dealing with difficult customers. You will be washing cars and chauffeuring customers around for the first 2-3 years. After that point, your job will be to calm down upset customers and dealerships.

      Pros

      good starter job out of college, learned a lot about the business world and simple transaction sales and the importance of customer service

      Cons

      long hours, dealing with pissed off people about their cars being in the shop all day, most people are not going to be happy with the rental cars, pressure to "run tight" which means having almost all of your cars on rent giving customers little choice to which cars they can rent or having nothing at all for your reservations, constant movement amongst branches, don't expect to work at one branch longer than 3-4 months until you get a management position
