Please PLEASE Think Twice Before Taking a Job with Enterprise!!
Pros
The people Enterprise employ are great - Enterprise seem to employ a certain type of person so everyone you work with in the branch is fantastic. I couldn't say a bad word about any person who I met that worked in daily rental and both my teams were all stars. If you are willing to throw your entire life away and
Cons
Enterprise will ruin your life. Literally. It will completely take over everything. You will get up at 6am, go to work, get home at 7:30pm (if you're lucky - expect to have days working from 0745 until 2200 regularly) eat, go to sleep, repeat. This is not a job for you if you want to have a life. The hours are ridiculous and a great deal of upper management are so smarmy and fake. You will be told "oh but there's all these opportunities and in x amount of years you'll make thousands and be rich bla bla bla" if you think it is worth literally being unable to live for money, then go for it but trust me you wont have time to spend the money. Branch managers and assistant managers don't even receive overtime "because they get commission" - what a joke. I seen my managers/assistant managers work without days off because they were so understaffed and they are told they must come in early and stay late - if that is the case is it really worth the money to work 6/7 days 0730-1830 as the minimum expectation and you WILL work more than that, without a shadow of a doubt. I joined Enterprise with so many doubts because of reviews I had seen on websites such as this and the only advice I can give to those considering this job is please please don't. If you have any doubts then please do not take this job, it is not worth it. I was a fresh graduate and I was desperate to get a full time job and make money but instead I have just set myself back and had to go back to the drawing board and now will have to wait until next year to go back to uni whilst trying desperately to find a job in the meantime so my 7 months in the job has essentially set my life back by 2 years if I decide to go back to university. Either way, if you have a part time job at the moment that you don't despise, please stay there and keep looking because you will be FAR worse off at Enterprise then you would be there. Please value your quality of life.
