Pros

You get to drive nice cars and work alongside some nice management trainees. Good, clear progression opportunities.

Cons

Awful, no set hours - you are expected to give up your life and work every hour of the day if necessary. Some days you can be working from 7.45am - 9pm, spending upwards of 13 hours a day driving without breaks. Completely unsafe. The pay looks good however when you realise how much over time it does not compensate for losing your social life. Cult like culture, higher management will do anything to get you to stay to avoid negatively impacting their turnover numbers, some could say attempting to brainwash you.

Pros

Benefits are decent, only “pro” I can think of.

Cons

Upper management will promise a lot and under deliver, rarely will have enough cars to make it through the day, reservations team will book anybody and promise them the world. The hours are insanely long & every office I have worked at is always understaffed so you will be doing just about everything. The phones will ring non-stop and you will be graded on how fast you answer them, you will even have fake calls come in that record you and if you don’t “follow” the prompt you will hear about it. You will have to wash/clean cars no matter the weather, especially if one of your detailers call out. You are based monthly on your sales and if you’re under performing management will do nothing to help you. At the end of the day, even if you’re slightly performing it’s all about “who you know” to get the next position. You will also be ranked on customer service and if you’re under performing in that you will not get promoted at all. I could keep going and going but I have dealt with some of the worst people/customers in my life with this company and it is easily one of the worst jobs I have ever had in my life.

Pros

Compensation was fair, benefits were great and you could move up within the company quickly.

Cons

You would regularly have to work 60+ hours, sometimes reaching over 70. This would not be as much of a problem if they would give you regular lunch breaks instead of just ordering food for everyone and calling it a "team lunch" to get around not giving breaks. Management would manipulate you into staying with the company when you tried to quit, I tried twice before finally leaving. Your managers would even get bonuses for being able to keep employees a certain amount of time. This should show you how bad they needed employees but could not keep them. They would teach you to play on people's fears of recent car accidents in order to sell them "protection products", regardless of if a customer needed them or not. They also would make you lie to customer's if you rented their reserved car to someone else for a higher price (or any other reason for that matter). If you wanted to move up within the company, they would lure you by telling you all the cool places around the country you could work, when in reality you would have no choice in that at all. They will put you wherever they want. They told me I would be able to train in whatever location in the city that was closest to me, yet put me at the location furthest from my house. I could go on but overall, it is a horrible, manipulative company.
