Pros

If you’re able to stick with it, pay scales up reasonably well beating inflation by a significant margin.

Cons

Benefits are lackluster with only 6 days of sick leave, only a few days of remote work a year and no fully paid parental leave (for either the birthing or non birthing parent).

Pros

You will be surrounded by passionate, smart, and driven people. The compensation, especially the raise scale, is marginally more attractive than competitors (although it used to be much better).

Cons

You will be overworked if you're in a customer-facing role. Epic tells its customers how to staff projects with no way to enforce the recommendation. Epic also holds its staff more accountable for customer success than the customer does, and when the customer inevitably understaffs the project and/or hires unqualified analysts, Epic (you) become the customer's whole IT team.
