Pros

There are lots of opportunity’s for growth and area ownership as a software developer with no prior professional experience. Opportunities to work on improving healthcare delivery on a large scale. Compensation is high for the area.

Cons

Many teams are comfortable living with/under lots of pre-existing technical debt, and struggle keeping up with quality issues from bugs that have existed for years. Many teams lack technical and practical expertise in their own area and integration points due to constant turn over. Admin does not care about individual employees in any meaningful way. COVID-19 response you read in other negative reviews is very real, and as illogical as it sounds (probably even more than it sounds). It gets to be very frustrating working under illogical leaders. As a team member you do not feel empowered to discuss topics with management without being scrutinized and punished in perpetuity.

Good pay but too many processes

Pros

The pay and benefits were great. Plus having your own office makes being productive easier.

Cons

There were way to many processes to go through. If you wanted to update code or help a customer make changes, you'd have to check off so many boxes and consult with a number of people before that could happen. There was also an insane amount of recurring tasks to complete and it really felt like I could have been spending my time on more impact full things.

Compensation is good. Most employees are super smart and nice. Core mission is on its surface good.

Cons

Upper management doesn’t talk to anyone who’s not in upper management. The dev process is cumbersome. Most controversial decisions are explained as “its in our dna, support it!” They treat employees like children and can’t tolerate any dissent or differing opinions.
