Pros

Good work life balance (in accounting/finance) Great health insurance Private or shared office (no cube monkeys) Dress code (wear clothes) Themed campus

Cons

Young, ineffective management that lies frequently to employees (I can't stress this enough) Accounting/Finance is in a separate location (10 miles from campus) Getting ahead solely requires befriending your manager (what you do means nothing) Managers work approximately 30-35 hours/week Pay is below average salary and bonuses are low Accounting senior management is somehow even worse than middle management Not a career. IT IS A JOB! Work is not challenging and doesn't become more intriguing with time/experience. While management will beat the horse to death that you are an analyst, you are really an accounts receivable clerk

Pros

Flexibility to take initiative and implement personal ideas. Nice offices and work environment, as well as great co-workers always willing to help out with problems and issues. Great perks like the coffee shop and cafeteria, and great outdoor space to get out and get fresh air.

Cons

The work could be stressful, and sometimes long hours were definitely required, but part of the job was learning to manage your time and workload, and by doing that you could find a good balance. Learning to say no to some requests was key.

Pros

Extensive training program, I learned a lot about software implementation and system structures that has applied to other jobs.

Cons

No work-life balance. Hard to take time off. A bit of a chew-you-up-and-spit-you-out mentality for young grads.
