Pros

Lots of autonomy and responsibility right from the start. Good pay, especially considering the low cost of living in Madison. Co-workers are typically young, smart, and motivated.

Cons

High turnover rate, the implementation role is never really sold as a long-term career. Many of the type-A people Epic hires confuse 70 hour work weeks with productive work weeks.

Pros

The benefits at Epic are outstanding. Plus it is good for self starters that don't need a lot of supervision and can get work done on their own.

Cons

The work-life balance can get out of control. With this, there are ups and downs and it's important to set rules and guidelines for yourself so you don't get burned out.
