Pros

Good place if you want a career in healthcare. That's about the only good thing. Also pretty campus and good food. you get to travel as part of work. This might be good place for a developer for the first 1-2 years in the sense that they can get a sense of general development life cycle. Not really anything great int terms of engineering.

Cons

- No Career progression. - You 'll end up doing same thing after 10 years here - no transferable skillset in terms of technology - Highly dependent on luck and the TL you get - I've had more than 6 TL's over last 3 years of mine. none of these changes are my fault. Everything was moving around modules and TL's between teams. - No visibility/feedback on performance other. You will be greeted with a bell curve anytime you ask feedback. -Many developers leave Epic and you'll find quarter your team gone in every year.

Pros

Just traveling to new places on immersion trips

Cons

- Worst experience I've ever had in my whole life regarding all sides, life balance, people you work with, work environment, atmosphere, just bad. - You 'll be losing your skills by time till you'd be unemployable cause you have no market value cause you come from "Epic" background. - It's been like more than 5 years, they say we'll move from VB to C# but still more than 70% of company code in VB, imagine in 2017, I was coding in VB, last time I coded in VB before Epic was in primary school. - Company culture is very bad, I've seen people getting fired cause they didn't like their team leaders' way of leading or talking, they were fired cause they escalated to the HR! - Everyone has private office which make it very difficult to ramp up fast, and everyone pretends to be busy and it'll be so difficult to get someone to help you. - Everyone has some weird ego, my team leader was acting like he's the godfather and even my mentor which is has just one more year of experience than me, one time he was yelling at me like don't talk while I'm talking!, and that happens to many new hires that's why I'm mentioning that. - people never talk to each other even out of the company, every one looks sad inside! - No life balance at all, and still you learn nothing.

Pros

The food and campus are both amazing. As far as I can tell, Epic makes a better product than it's competitors.

Cons

Work life balance is tough here. It really varies by your team, role, and boss, but expect to feel lots of pressure. Many of the managers are inexperienced and unqualified. The new web framework is very frustrating to work with.
