Pros

1. Good work & life balance. Yeah, you have time for yourself. 2. Beautiful campus. 3. It will be a good campany if you really want to grow old here. (If you want to do something cool in campanies like Google, Facebook, leave Epic ASAP)

Cons

1. Cannot learn anything new. (you cannot learn anything fancy here, it makes me difficult to find a job in companies like Google, Facebook, etc. Because everything you have learned in Epic are useless in those companies) 2. Old techniques. (Still using VB and everything is from old age) 3. Management is a chaos. 4. Stiff company policy.

Pros

Individual offices, good food, good pay for the location, good buildings. (for everyone) Good projects, good managers, good team (if you are lucky enough).

Cons

In my case, they hired me as a C# web developer, trained me for 6 months on C# and then I was given VB projects. I had a bad team. I am not even sure that the team I worked with at least knew the rest of the team mates. It doesn't fit software developers who wish to work on latest technologies. At Epic, all the tools they use are built by them, so it is difficult to use the learnings at Epic elsewhere.

Pros

As a software developer, I get to design and develop new web-based features and applications. My development makes a big impact. Coworkers are smart and it's a constructive atmosphere.

Cons

It requires commuting to get to the campus, since it's in the country. Traffic can get bad around the campus during peak hours.
