Pros

Mostly competent coworkers Early opportunities at leadership Ability to have your own office If you make it, you can come out with a great work ethic and brutal efficiency.

Cons

Work/Life balance is nonexistent Clear favoritism leads to inequity amongst employees of similar tenure and ability Lack of support or guidance for those who don’t automatically “get it” Black box when it comes to rankings, staffings, and salaries Lack of continuing education opportunities

Pros

- The people you work with every day are often friendly and helpful - We work in an exciting industry that is constantly changing and as a result, the work you are involved in never truly stays the same. - The campus provides some variety to your day. - There is a good amount of autonomy that is given to your employees as to how you go about fulfilling responsibilities. Experience may vary, but overall this is usually the case.

Cons

- Despite claiming to be open to employee feedback, management continues to demonstrate that they don't find it applicable. - The parental leave policy is outdated compared to other similar companies, and the overall perception is that the company isn't supportive of parents. - Company culture gives developer leadership larger authority and more influence over management decisions, regardless of whether the areas are directly related to software. - The company is slow to adopt new technologies and features, so it feels like we are always behind industry trends.

Pros

The people are really great! One of the only places I've worked where your coworkers don't look down on you or make you feel stupid for not knowing things, etc.

Cons

They love to say "don't say 'no' when someone comes asking if you can take on a task or responsibility, say 'yes, if...'" The problem with that is usually the responsibilities that are making you consider saying "no" in the first place are longer term, large-scale projects, and you usually end up shifting smaller responsibilities when you take those kinds of things on with a "yes, if..." response. But the expectation still remains that you'll be responsible for those smaller-scale tasks in the future, just maybe not at this exact moment. A lot of people like to say they hire one person to do one and half person's work, and after working here I definitely agree with that.
