Pros

The labs are pretty cool to work at. Some of the site managers are really nice. There are some hackathons which motivate people to work outside their space.

Cons

Team environment wasn't that great. People don't have many aspirations and they just stick to their jobs and don't let creativity come in. There is also a great fear of losing jobs.

Pros

Once upon a time this company cared, not any more.

Cons

After 29 years with Ericsson, I was let go without any prior warning or even given a chance to find something else in the company. The company had no regard for my near 30 year tenure. This company is going down hill at light speed, upper management is currenty scurring to protect themselves and friends, leaving employees to hit the unemployment lines. There is no loyalty anywhere, the new CEO was brought aboard to cut cut cut until the company can be sold - this is evident - I don't believe Ericsson will exist in 5 years.

Pros

Friendly people, great pay and benefits package, tons of training materials to view at your leisure. Work Life Balance is decent depending on your position. I happened to have a great manager that was supportive, however he could only do so much to help my career.

Cons

Where to begin.. -This company has about 50% hard workers and the other 50% are figuring out their job either as a new hire or moved to new position. -US employees are first to be laid off due to costs. Outsource as much as possible. -H1B candidates with Masters are preferred so as to get them cheap and hang the metaphoric carrot (green card) in front to get them to do whatever. -Indian Mafia type Management, only hire Indians under them. Most whites left are Swedish. -Ton of online training, its mostly generic and not deep dive, but no time to view. -Certification program is a joke. Example, Read chapters 1,3,4 in book A, 5,6,7 in book B, plus 20 online videos or knowledge share then take exam and test will have more on it than the materials. Plus not industry recognized. -No career development, you get stuck doing same job and cannot get out of rut. -No team spirit, everyone watching out for themselves and can be cut throat. No sharing of information or minimum to say the least. The less you share the more valuable you are to the org. -Everything is processed to death, -Add on Sales pushed to ALL employees as part of your yearly goals, which is difficult to achieve depending on your job. That's enough for this review, this is a Swedish business and ran that way. All about the $. US is working hard 24/7 while the Union countries work maybe 40hrs.
