Pros

The workload is reasonable and definitely less demanding compared to other Banks. The bank definitely has a meeting / conference culture, which also implies that you are asked for your opinion. In general, the offer of internal training is great.

Cons

The tasks are little challenging and as usual for a larger bank everything goes a bit slower due to bureaucracy. Sometimes you may feel lost, since in the end nobody is really responsible and the task distribution is quite unclear. The graduate program promises more than it actually offers. Several consulting firms where appointed during one year and the contribution in the end was quite low.

Pros

Work on some projects resembles a startup environment as they try to improve the project a lot. The general athmosphere with colleagues is very good, everyone is relaxed and nice. Very good benefits with the bank and also discounts to shops.

Cons

Not much room for promotion, IT environment is still affected by the corporate environment of the whole bank.

Pros

* flexible working hours * EG sets the standard in the Austrian banking industry (starting from casual dress code to product development both client facing and internal) other banking groups seem to be always one step behind in EGs development * depending on the team there might be some interesting topics * it is possible to change jobs within the group * international

Cons

* a lot of political games in management. the company success is less in focus. too many and the wrong people involved in decision making * salaries and bonuses are random, mainly depending on department and not on individual performance * really flat learning curve, high fluctuation and not a lot of in-house knowledge (department-specific)
