Our division's focus is out of the internal customer's needs, which is bad. Our top management doesn't appreciate people and fear has spread across the organization which resulted in active silence (potential from people is being killed) from everyone and only one man is steering. Board members do not see what is happening under the hood. Lots of the reporting isn't real and administration become priority rather than real work. My high performance team would rather change job, because of those reasons.

Increase in salary only possible through promotion. No clear career path. Once you are in a department you tend to stay there. Movement and advancement depends on who you know not how good you are. Connections are everything. Excelling at your job is not seen as favourable by most managers or colleagues. It tends to alienate you. Team player attitude is the buzz word but backstabbing of colleagues is well known and supported. Many managers are narrow minded. Too many incompetent people employed and promoted.
